At GARDEN HOUSE STORE in CIAL Yokohama directly connected to Yokohama Station, we are hosting a "Spring Wagashi Fair" featuring products from Ishisuan, a wagashi specialty shop in Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture, from March 15th (Monday) to April 14th (Wednesday).
This spring, even if cherry blossom viewing and outings are difficult, we have prepared products for you to enjoy spring at home. Limited-time products include Ichigo-Nerikiri Daifuku made with Izu's premium "Koho-Houhoku" strawberries and "Kenjo Sakura Manju" made with the finest cherry leaves from Matsuzaki, Nishi-Izu.
Ishisuan is a wagashi specialty shop in Izu that embodies the love for Izu and the aesthetic sense of ancient Japan in its sweets. Since its founding, it has been rooted in the land of Izu, cherishing the valuable blessings brought by the grand nature that attracts attention from around the world, while valuing its unique culture and accumulating history. Ichigo-Nerikiri Daifuku

Large, red strawberries wrapped in perfect harmony with condensed milk bean paste, sandwiched between chewy Hana-Juubei mochi. The condensed milk bean paste is made with Izu's "Koho-Houhoku" strawberries, carefully balanced between acidity and fragrance to bring out its maximum flavor. One bite reveals the juicy strawberry juice and gentle sweetness of condensed milk.
Wrapped in fluffy Hana-Juubei mochi, this is a luxurious treat available only at this time of year.

Steamed bean paste crumbles delicately in your mouth, enjoying the flavor contrast with lightly flavored sakura bean paste.
Sakura Jelly

Spring-limited Japanese-style jelly adorned with a single bloom of Yaezakura, the finest cherry blossoms from Odawara, the leading producer of cherry blossoms in Japan. Enjoy the soft jelly with the accent of aloe texture inside.
Kenjo Sakura Manju

Spring-exclusive sakura manju, produced only during cherry blossom season starting from the flowering of Kawazu cherry blossoms. Made with salt-flavored sakura bean paste using the highest quality sakura leaves from Matsuzaki-cho, Izu, wrapped in sakura-colored yamamomo dough and steamed. Each one is finished by hand with Odawara's Yaezakura.
Shio-Tsuzuki Daifuku

In pursuit of satisfactory azuki beans, we found "Erimo Shojoz" from Hokkaido's Tokachi, cultivated with carefully selected Ogasawara sea salt to cook, our prideful, coarsely adzuki beans. A mochi made from "Miyako Gane," which has the most viscous of glutinous rice and is blended with a balance of fragrance and softness characteristic of "Hane-Jubei Mochi." The freshly ground mochi steamed from mochi is the true delight of Japanese sweets and brings out the flavor.
