"Summer Fruits and Cuckoo Afternoon Tea" at "THE TABLE"

 

The restaurant "THE TABLE" within the Garden Auberge BIRD HOTEL - GARDEN HOUSE - in Yuigahama, Kamakura City, will offer a limited-time afternoon tea menu featuring plenty of summer fruits from June 10 (Monday) to August 31 (Saturday).

 

In a green-filled space where about half of the 1000㎡ premises is a garden, we offer a menu incorporating herbs and other plants. Experience a special time feeling the arrival of summer at BIRD HOTEL, designed with the concept of a garden where birds from around the world gather. Enjoy the afternoon while listening to the song of the cuckoo, a bird that heralds the summer.

    Filled with lime juice cream and custard cream, topped with fresh peach and lime zest for a refreshing finish.
  • Mango Roll Cake
    White chocolate and yogurt cream wrapped in fluffy sponge cake, highlighting the sweetness of fresh mango with a hint of acidity.
  • Pain d'épices with Mango Chantilly
    Spiced pound cake with cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, etc., combined with mango cream and pink pepper for an adult flavor.
  • Fromage Blanc Mousse with Melon
    Mousse with Italian meringue, fromage blanc, and whipped cream, layered with melon and cinnamon compote and almond sponge cake.
  • Peach Melba
    Traditional French dessert with vanilla bavarois, peach compote, and raspberry sauce, accented with almond crush and raspberry puree tuile.
  • Coconut Blancmange with Melon and Elderflower
    Coconut blancmange topped with elderflower jelly and fresh melon.

  • Sakashima Black Tea (Japanese Black Tea)
    A delicate and robust Japanese black tea grown in Ibaraki Prefecture, with aromas reminiscent of wood and earth, and a sweet, refreshing aftertaste.
  • Koji-fermented Tea from Shizuoka Prefecture
    Distinctive for its sweet, rich aroma and flavor similar to brown sugar, made using a unique fermentation method with black koji.
  • Cave-aged Hojicha
    Light-roasted hojicha aged in a cave in Shizuoka, featuring a sweet caramel-like aroma and refreshing astringency.
  • Chamomile
    Sweet apple-like aroma with a refreshing taste.
  • Green Rooibos
    Mild and gentle flavor compared to regular rooibos tea, with earthy, natural aromas.
